November 20, 2022: “Acute Childhood Experiences, Toxic Stress, and A Trauma Informed Campus: An Intergenerational Approach to these Challenges at Princeton and Beyond” Yolandra Toya ’88, Pediatrician in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and recently elected Princeton trustee. Yolandra works in Native American clinics and advised on the creation of the recently endowed Professorship in Indigenous Studies. Abby Lehman ’13, Abby is a Fourth Sector Impact Entrepreneur and a Delegate to the United Nations Economic and Social Council. She is a co-founder and director of Photo Start. Photo Start provides transformative learning experiences to give students the courage to reframe their stories, develop as leaders, and become agents of change in their communities. It accomplishes this by engaging, educating, and elevating young people from marginalized communities around the globe through the art and business of photography. Michael Ventura, Michael is an advisor, entrepreneur, and author of Applied Empathy (Simon and Schuster 2018). Michael teaches and trains empathy as a vital leadership skill in corporate, academic, and community-based efforts. Michael taught “Empathetic Design” at the Keller Center for Innovation and Engineering Education at Princeton.
